Hon. Michael Omogbehin Negwo, Member Representing Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency at the House of Representative has given his mother, Madam Victoria Onyeka Onminyi Omogbehin, aged 75 a befitting burial at Edikwu village, Otukpo in Benue State.
The funeral ceremony, a two day affair kicked off on Friday, the 15th of April with an all night cultural affair at Edikwu, where late Madam Onminyi Omogbehin hailed from.
For the burial programme on Saturday, there was an open-air interdenominational service at her residence. The rich culture of the Benue people and their rich traditional consciousness also came to play at the burial programme.
Following the internment of late madam Omogbehin, an A-class octane reception party started in full swing. On the bandstand to entertain the guests, who had come from all walks of life to celebrate the final home call of late madam Omogbehin, was Demola Suzi and his highlife band all the way from Okitipupa Ondo State.
Among the distinguished guests at the event were Hon. Kolade Akinjo, Olorogun Dr. Eddy Olafeso, Dr Dapo Iwala, Hon. Yinka (Salad) Akintehinwa and many more.
