Gov Akeredolu, personalities bid Senator Olupitan’s wife farewell

Despite current challenges, those whose lives conformed with the standards of God would be visited with abundant blessings of the Almighty God.
This was contained in a sermon delivered by the Bishop of Owo Diocese, Rt Revd James Oladunjoye at a funeral service in honour of Mrs Caroline, Aboritoli Olupitan held at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Ipele in Owo Diocese.
He said Christians must prepare themselves, by their conducts and service to God and His people, for the second coming of Jesus Christ.
The Bishop said those who sleep in the Lord are sure of reigning with God on the last day, adding that death here are mere translation to eternal glory on which Angels in heaven, will always rejoice for the triumphant homecoming of the saints.
Mrs Caroline Aboritoli Olupitan aged 79, wife of Senator Titus Olupitan, was described by Bishop Oladunjoye as a virtuous woman who used her time and resources to serve God and mankind, saying testimonies abound on how productively she lived a life worthy of emulation.
The service , had dignitaries from all walks of life among whom are, the Chancellor of Owo Diocese, Anglican Communion, who is also the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, (SAN).
Others are ; the Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Togo, Ambassador Olusola Iji; Member House of Representatives, Hon.(Dr) Bode Ayorinde; Chief of Staff to Ondo State Governor, Chief Olugbenga Ale; two Commissioner Designates in Ondo State: Otunba Gboyega Adefarati and Otunba Timilehin Adelegbe; former Minister of Education, Dr Adewumi Abitoye and Senator Olorunnimbe Farunkanmi.
Also at the event are: Treasurer of Owo Diocese, Anglican Communion, Chief Olufemi Omosanya; Commissioner in OSOPADEC, Mrs Morenike Witherspoon; Ondo State Chairman of APC, Engineer Ade Adetimehin; Mrs Omowumi Isaac; Mr Olayemi Omosua and Mr Bola Ajimuda.
