It was a gathering of eminent leaders across Nigeria at the wedding ceremony of the daughter of Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun and son of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Mrs Abike Dabiri-Ewera in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The bride, Gasiat Ayomide and groom, Habeeb Ladipo with their parents had around them throughout the whole day the presence of creme de la creme of the Nigerian society to celebrate the union conducted by notable voices in Islam.

The Nikka according to Islamic rites began with the engagement that had exciting showcase of Yoruba cultural values in dressing, music and dances at the African Church Primary School ,Ita Iyalode, Abeokuta where the National Missioner of Ansarudeen Muslim society of Nigeria, Abdulrahman Ahmad admonished the couple to always seek the face of Allah for them to have a successful marriage.

President Muhammadu Buhari Estate on Ibadan-Abeokuta Expressway was the befitting venue dignitaries and guests from all walks of life that had gotten the city of Abeokuta stood still for the better part of the day were entertained.

The Acting President, Professor Yinka Osinbajo; President of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki; Speaker , House of Representatives, Hon Yakubu Dogara;  serving governors across political divide; former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo; former Head of Interim Government, Chief Earnest Shonekan; Chief of Staff to the President, Alhaji Aba Kyari; former Secretary of Commonwealth, Chief Emeka Anyaoku; former Chief Judge  of Nigeria, Justice Alpha Belgore and the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress, Chief John Odigie Oyegun were notable among the personalities at the event.

Royal Fathers at the event include the  Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi; the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi; the Alake of Egbaland, Oba  Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo ;   Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu and Emir of Borgu, Alhaji Muhammed Aliru.

The trio of Chief Bisi Akande, Mr Adams Oshiomhole and Chief Lateef Jakande were notable former governors at the programme while the Minister of  Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun; Minister of Interior, Alhaji  Abdul Rahman Danbazau;  Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika and Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed; made their ways to the event.

Other  dignitaries who witnessed the wedding include Prof Ishaq Oloyede; Chief Ayo Adebanjo; Chief Kensington Adebutu; members of both chambers of the National Assembly; members of the Diplomatic Community; Mr Kayode Akinmade, the immediate past Commissioner for Information in Ondo State and his wife,Fehintola; businessmen; serving and former security chiefs, traditional chiefs and among others .
