Gov. Akeredolu bids Oyo Speaker farewell

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has led members of the State Executive Council to commiserate with his Oyo State counterpart , Senator Abiola  Ajimobi on the sudden death of the Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Michael Olusegun Adesina Adeyemo.

The governor who had on the day the speaker died paid similar condolence visit to the immediate family of the deceased, described his death as a rude shock which devastated his colleagues in the Akin Olujimi & Akeredolu Law Firm.

The visit coincided with similar one by some Royal Fathers in Oyo State who had come to condole with Governor Ajimobi.

The Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Abdul- Ganiyu Adekunle Salaudeen who spoke on behalf of the Royal Fathers used the opportunity to express the grief of the traditional rulers in Oyo State on the demise of the Speaker.

Oba Adekunle Salaudeen  also condole with members of the Akin Olujimi & Akeredolu Law Firm  where the late speaker practised as a Lawyer before venturing into Politics and still kept his office until death.

While thanking Arakunrin Akeredolu and his cabinet members for the visit, the Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi described the late speaker as a humble personality and a bridge builder.

The governor who said Rt. Hon. Michael Olusegun Adesina Adeyemo contributed in no small measure to the peace that has pervaded the pacesetter state since his assumption of duties as Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly said he had never been so heartbroken as much as this in recent times.

The two governors and their entourage later joined family members of Rt. Hon. Michael Olusegun Adeyemo in a service of songs held at the Baptist Church, Oke-Ado, Ibadan.

Professional and political friends of the late lawmaker,former school mates, neighbours, church members and well-wishers of the late speaker attended the service to testify to the good nature of the late legislator who died at the age of 47.
