The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN), Ondo State Chapter, has enjoined Christians in positions of authority to continually support the growth of Christianity through evangelism.
Chairman, Ondo State chapter of the Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN), Apostle (Dr) Zechariah Adeboriota gave the charge at an event where Chief of Staff to Ondo State Governor, Chief Olugbenga Ale was honoured with an Award of Excellence for the advancement of the work of God.
Apostle Adeboriota said Chief Ale has consistently supported the growth of the Church with his resources and positions, hence the need to encourage him to do more as well as spur others.
While conferring the Award of ” Value of Pillar of Faith, Charity and Love” on the Chief of Staff, the BSN State Chairman called on all Christians to emulate the dedication and service to Christian faith of the award winner, adding that the service with greatest blessing is that which glorifies God and His people.
The Clergy however, enjoined Christians to remain dedicated and committed to promoting and supporting the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ with some of the blessings they have enjoyed from God.
Responding, Chief Olugbenga Ale assured that he would continue to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the means provided him by the Almighty.
He however called on Christians to intensify their prayers for the administration of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu so that its plans to develop the avanlache of mineral resources that abound in Ondo State for the well-being of the people and prosperity of the state would not be truncated.
Chief Olugbenga Ale who is also the Baba Ijo of The New Church Cathedral, Owo, the State Patron of the Boys Brigade of Nigeria and now the BSN State Award Winner.
Some of the dignitaries at the event include: the Honourable Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Prince Solagbade Amodeni; Permanent Secretary, Government House and Protocol, Mr Dare Aragbaye; Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Agric & Agric Business, Pastor Akin Olotu and BSN Committee Chairman, Venerable Titus Ajepe.
Others include; BSN Acting Area Secretary, Envagelist Frank Lawani; BSN Member, Elder D Adeyanju; BSN State Financial Secretary, Pastor Stephen Ogunmola and BSN State Treasurer Reverend Joseph Ajayi.
