Realizing the need to improve on the administration of Criminal justice system in Ondo State, Eyitayo Jegede, in alliance with the office of the Chief Judge of the State, established the first High Court within the precincts of the prison to fast track prosecution of criminal cases that have to do with Capital Offences; the first of its kind in the country.

Eyitayo Jegede midwifed the review of the Laws of Ondo State for the first time since the creation of the State in 1976. He manned the establishment of the Court of Appeal in Ondo State.

As Attorney General, Jegede facilitated and handled the establishment of the National Industrial Courts in Ondo State; built Electronic Law Library for lawyers and members of the ministry.

He doubled the number of lawyers in the ministry between 2009 & 2016 through merit-driven employment, and also ensured the establishment of zonal offices of the Federal Ministry of Justice in Ondo State.

Mr. Eyitayo Jegede handled government interests in the Courts of Law and supervised critical governments businesses as delegated by the governor of the State.

Also on record is the fact that it was during his tenure as Attorney General that the establishment of Customary Court of Appeal Akure, happened.

Since he commenced his political pursuit, Jegede has met many men and women, he has visited homes and holes, talking to citizens about his love for our dear state and her people, irrespective of class, party, religion or clan; he has explained at fora how challenging this time is for us as a people and how exactly he’s prepared to provide soothing.
