Ondo state Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko has called for the cooperation of all in the bid to rescue the nation from its myriad of challenges, even as he wants the tempo of prayers being offered for the re-positioning of the country economically increased to enable joy return quickly to the many homes bearing the brunt of economic recession ravaging homes in the country.
In his Eid-el-Kabir message issued by the State’s Commissioner for Information, Mr Kayode Akinmade in Akure On Sunday, Governor Mimiko called on Muslims in the nation to also sustain their consistent prayer pattern because according to him, the country still remain in dare need of prayers more than ever before to surmount her challenges.
He said the time calls for the total cooperation of all Nigerians irrespective of ethnic and religious divide to put all hands on deck, pray and find solutions to the challenges of the country .
Insisting that nothing is beyond God to handle, Mimiko said Nigeria is a great country and her potentials must be maximally tapped for her greatness to manifest, and this, he said ,could only be done through the cooperation of all Nigerians.
The Governor maintained that Nigeria was not created to be a problem to herself and neighbours, but loaded with the potentials of a global model and solution provider.
He said love, tolerance and peace are Islamic virtues that true Muslims and Nigerians in general should not compromise, positing that making these permanent habits will go a long way in making the country a better one for all to cohabit.
