Sunshine Stars FC coach, Austin Eguavoen has revealed his team is close to full readiness for the Second Stanza of the 2016/17 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

Eguavoen, shortly after the team Saturday’s training session at the Ondo State Sports Complex, Akure posited that just little details in area of players registration and welfare were all that needed to be addressed for the team to be fully ready for the final half of the season.

Eguavoen posited: “On a scale of 100 we are 85% ready for the Second Stanza. If we finalise players registration and addressed the welfare issue speedily, yes we will be 100% ready for the 2nd Stanza, and there are positives signals from the authorities in the area of welfare.”

The former Super Eages player and coach also maintained that the team’s focus at the moment is next weekend’s game against Lobi Stars as the plan is to take it one game after the other.

Sunshine Stars who play host to Lobi Stars in their first game of the Second Stanza are already out of relegation zone in the current campaign, placed 15th in the NPFL log after 19 rounds of matches have been concluded in the First Stanza.
