Easter: Akeredolu Urges Christians to Emulate Christ
Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has urged Christians in the state to continue to live in peace and love one another, irrespective of class or creed.
Akeredolu, in his Easter message to the people of the state, issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Segun Ajiboye, said the people should emulate Jesus Christ’s life of love and sacrifice, which he said is encapsulated in Christ’s decision to lay down his life for the redemption of humanity.
Akeredolu urged youths in the state to embrace peace and continue to support the government, promising that his administration will continue to implement programmes aimed at bringing development back to the state.
“I want to use the opportunity of the Easter season to urge every Christian, and indeed, every indigene of our state to continue to live in peace and to love one another as exemplified by our Lord, Jesus Christ, who laid his life for the redemption of our sins,” Governor Akeredolu said.
He wished all Christians happy Easter celebrations
