Duchess Adeyinka Obat, Moyo Omogbehin Sagay distribute food items to Igbotako people

The people of Igbotako have benefitted from the generosity of Duchess Adeyinka Aderibole Obat Akinruntan and her sister, Princess Moyo Omogbehin Sagay the benevolent duo distributed palliatives to the people of their country home, Igbotako on Saturday, 25th April, 2020.

According to Duchess Adeyinka Akinruntan who spoke with Ondo Events from her base in United kingdom, the palliatives are given to the people of Igbotako to cushion the harsh effect of the lockdown among the vulnerable people of the community.
Igbotako people in their hundreds thronged the venue of the distribution of the palliatives and smiles were put on their faces as all those who were at the Oke Idebi venue of the distribution were given a bag of rice, beans and garri.

The palliatives, Duchess Adeyinka Aderibole Obat noted was distributed as their own effort at reaching out to their people not because they are super rich but because they consider it fit and proper at this time to remember people who could have been hard pressed because of the challenges of the stay at home order of the Federal Government to curb the spread of the novel corona virus.

In the telephone conversation with Ondo Events, Duchess Adeyinka Obat said, “we learn to give not because we have plenty but because I know how it feels to have nothing at all. If you can’t feed a hundred people, then you can at least feed one.”

While talking about the corona virus that is ravaging the world at the moment, Olori Adeyinka Akinruntan maintained that it is a phase that will pass, stressing that the people should adhere strictly to all the measures laid down by government in order to curb the community spread of the contagion.
