Deji of Akure Lauds Betty Akeredolu on Breast Cancer Awareness
Wife of Ondo State governor, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu has been commended for her efforts in raising awareness on breast cancer in the State.
The traditional ruler of Akure, His royal highness, Oba Patrick Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi Odundun 11, Deji of Akure gave this commendation while receiving in his palace the sunshine State First Lady who was at the palace to pay homage to the royal father before embarking on BRECAN’s Market Outreach and Environmental Sanitation execrcise organized to mark Governor Akeredolu’s 100 days in office at Oja Oba market square.
Deji of Akure recalled his experience on February 4th world cancer day where Mrs Akeredolu assembled
a team of medical practitioners for a big town hall on cancer where aggressive awareness were raised on the life threatening disease breast cancer.
Oba Aladetoyinbo said “Your effort in creating awareness on breast cancer to save the lives of our women means so much to us, it is greater than building a big stadium for us.”
In her opening remarks at the market square, wife of Ondo State governor said “We are happy to be in this market this morning to bring you the message of hope, that breast cancer is curable, early detection saves lives. We are also here to clean your environment, we clean as we raise awareness”.
