The Deji and paramount of Akure Kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelsui, Odundun II yesterday averted what could have resulted in breakdown of law and order as he appealed to some protesting traders in Akure

The traders who were from the popular Oja-Oba and Odo-Ikoyi axis staged a protest against what they described as intimidation, harassment and assault by Mr. Bimbo Tofowomo, a director in the ministry who also supervise the popular Oja-Oba market on behalf of government.

The protesters numbering over 500 displayed various placards and blocked the popular Oba-Adesida road, preventing motorists from passing

The protesters claimed that despite the fact that they have complied with all the rules to have obeyed all rules and instructions of the government, Mr. Tofowomo had continued to harass them for no reason.

However, Oba Aladetoyinbo assured the ytraders that he will look into the matter and find a lasting solution to the lingering crisis between the Market women and Mr. Tofowomo

He equally appeal to the the market women to remain peaceful and ensure that they allow free flow of traffic in the market.
