Senator representing Ondo State Senatorial District, Senator. Jimoh Ibrahim, CFR, on Thursday advised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to create a ministry that would be in charge of revenue in the country.
He handed down the advice while speaking on a programme, State Of The Nation with Gbenga Aruleba on AIT.
The billionaire business mogul described as indispensable, the creation of the revenue ministry if the nation is to wangle its way out of the current socio-economic quagmire.
Senator Ibrahim, who suggested some strategy through which the nation’s debt could be defrayed, explained that the creation of the revenue ministry would provide window for improved revenue generation to fast-track the nation’s development.
According to the billionaire lawmaker, “The nation’s debts of N77trn shouldn’t be a cause for worry considering the current debt to Gross Domestic Product ratio of less than 31 percent.
