Akeredolu enjoined Seriki Hausa of the Market to get in contact with the people bringing food items to the state from the Northern part of the country not to come with passengers

His words:” Let the people bringing foodstuffs to the state from the North do so without any passenger

” Anybody who brings passengers to the state would have himself to blame”, he said.

The Seriki of Hausa, Alhaji Sheu Ibrahim who received the governor assured that the leadership of the Market would not for any reason tolerate any disobedience to regulations made by the State Government.

While appreciating the approval granted the market to open ‘two days on, two days off’, till futher notice, Alhaji Sheu Ibrahim called on the police not to allow any truck bringing foodstuffs with passengers into the state.

“We are happy that you agree that we can sell our commodities till Friday, meaning that no market on Saturday and Sunday, thank you sir”, he said.

In his comment the State Commissioner of Police, Mr Undie Adie, assured the governor that his officers would henceforth be around to enforce all regulations concerning social distancing and mode of operations at the market.
