The wife of Ondo State governor, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu paid an unscheduled visit to Ondo State Children’s Home Oba-Ile, along Akure road.
Mrs Akeredolu expressed dissatisfaction with the condition of the home and promised to come to their aid.
The 19 year old home, houses abandoned children, Orphans, underprivilleged children, physically challenged children numbering about a hundren.
While commending the officials of the home for their committement to duties, Mrs Akerdolu encouraged them to give the children some basic training on personal and general hygiene. She also challenged the children of the home to adopt high level of hygienic practices promising to reward handsomely the cleanest hostel during her next visit.
In her vote of thanks, the head misstress of the home, thanked
the governor’s wife for her timely visit and enumerated some of the needs of the home to include; Food stuff, Kitchen Utensils, toiletries, power generating set, children’s clothings, first aid kits, among other things.
