The historic Idanre hills located in the ancient town of Idanre, Ondo State, is one of the wonders of nature and a marvellous tourist attraction.

Her Excellency climbed the 667 steps to get to the top of Idanre Hills, which are steep-sided, to tour the ancient town.

Some attraction seen on top of the hills is Owa’s palace courtyard with carved figures and doors believed to be built in the seventeenth (17th) century, the Orosun Hill, the Esekogbeji Spot and the Arun River to mention few.

Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu expressed hope in the tourism potential of Idanre Hills to generate revenue once restored, as tourism is a significant economic driver, which can bring about development from various facets of endeavour.
