Bemore Girls Complete Two-Week Training, Face Appraisal
•Bemore Beats My Expectations- Onidare
After two weeks of extensive training in renewable energy, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and other life- enhancing skills, coaching has been concluded for the 2023 batch of Bemore girls.
The girls who rounded off their skills acquisition classes earlier today had commenced the 12th day of camping with taekwondo training, the Korean martial art involving punching and kicking techniques for self defense against lustful men, as part of the routinal morning physical exercise.
Being the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Bemore and the foundation’s Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) process, the girls were also examined as a way to test their knowledge base, measure their mastery of trainings and test outputs, outcomes and impact in the last two weeks.
Colorful photographs of the girls were also taken based on the various SDGs to which they belong, as part of preparations for valedictory programme and exit from the boot camp.
Meanwhile, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and sponsor of four girls to the 2023 Bemore Boot Camp from Ondo West Local Government, Engineer Onidare Bukunmi Sunday, has expressed a pleasant surprise about what Bemore gives to its beneficiaries.
Onidare expressed astonishment on Friday during his visitation to the Boot Camp, holding at Mabest Academy, Oke-Ijebu, Akure, Ondo State.
He said: “I have been hearing about Bemore for a long time. I am happy to be here today to witness what is happening at the Bemore Camp. What is happening here is more than my expectations.
“I used to think Bemore is merely about a holiday trip but with the activities, training and facilities I have seen on ground, I know realised that Bemore is actually bigger than what I had expected. By the grace of God, I will sponsor more girls to the Bemore Camp in the next edition.”
