APC swears in new exco in Ondo …Tasks members on returning Buhari

All newly elected members of the state executive of All Progressives Congress (APC) Ondo State chapter on Wednesday took oath of office and allegiance.

The event, which took place at the party’s Secretariat at 17, Oyemekun Road, Akure, was organised by the state Chairman of the party, Engr. Ade Adetimehin.

All newly elected members of the exco took the oaths before a legal practitioner, Barrister Adesemoye Akintoye.

In address to the new exco, Adetimehin charged them to be loyal, dedicated, accountable, disciplined and uphold all objectives of the party as well as work assiduously to ensure the party holds a peaceful and successful convention.

He tasked them to work in their various constituencies by canvassing votes for President Muhammadu Buhari towards the 2019 general elections.

The party chairman declared that divide and rule style would not be allowed, saying he going to run an all inclusive leadership.

Meanwhile, the inauguration of the new exco marked the end of the tenure of the first exco of the party.

Adetimehin informed all the party chairmen at the local government level that the swearing-in ceremony of party exco at the various local governments would take place after the party’s national convention in Abuja.

However, all the delegates for the national convention would take off from the state on Friday to ABUJA for the national convention.

Present at the swearing-in ceremony are Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde, state Commissioner for Agriculture, Gboyega Adefarati, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Deaconess Lola Fagbemi, Speaker, State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Bamidele Oloyelogun and some members of the assembly among others.
