The lawmaker Representing Ondo Central Senatorial District, Senator Tayo Alasoadura has expressed shock over the demise of his colleague and first executive governor of Osun state,Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke.
Alasoadura,who is representing Ondo Central District at the Upper Chamber said the death of Senator Adeleke had robbed the Senate,Osun state and Nigeria of a quintessential and colourful politician,who had contributed immensely to the sustainance of democracy and rule of law in the country.
The lawmaker lamented the untimely death of the Asiwaju of Ede land who laid a very solid foundation for Osun state as its first executive governor and also paid his due as a distinguished two term legislator at the Senate.
Alasoadura commisserated with his immediate family,the people of Ede land, Osun state,the National Assembly and Nigeria as a whole.
He noted that his death has created a vacuum in Osun politics,but urged the people to take solace in the fact that he served his state and the nation diligently.
He stressed that Adeleke had left his footprints on the sands of time especially as a bridge-builder with friends across Nigeria and philanthropist of note.
Alasoadura symphatised with the Senate President,Bukola Saraki,principal officers and entire Senators for the demise of their collegue,praying God to grant his soul eternal rest.
