A group of youths across the entire Akoko land under aegis of Akoko Youth Coalition have canvassed support for the candidature of Pastor Ola Amuda of the Accord Party, in the November 26, 2016 gubernatorial election in Ondo State.

This position was taken on Thursday 22nd September, 2016 in Akure the state capital. While the group’s President, Mr Raji Lawal was speaking on behalf of other members, he hinged their support for Amuda on the need to actualize the agenda of having an Akoko man as the next governor of the state.

Lawal said the only obvious choice left for the Akoko people is Ola Amuda of the Accord party since the ticket of PDP has been given to Mr Eyitayo Jegede from Akure while the ticket of APC has also been given to Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu who is an indigene of Owo. The group further said that the only trusted, consistent and a sell-out repulsive Akoko man in the governorship race is Pastor Ola Amuda.

The group therefore urged all Akoko sons and daughters and indeed the good people of Ondo State to work for actualization of Amuda’s gubernatorial project. Lawal added that the group’s support for Ola Amuda may have been informed by the fact of his Akoko extraction, but he is also very convinced that the experience, integrity, competence and clear-cut vision of the Accord candidate are the needed attributes to create wealth and move the state out of the woods.

While welcoming and appreciating the group for its thoughtfulness which has led to the drumming of support for Ola Amuda, Coordinator of the Amuda Campaign Organization, Mr Akinniyi Samuel assured that the group’s efforts have been well noted but urged them still, to do keep preaching the message until success is achieved.
