Akeredolu Sets Up Panel On Araromi Obu, Ikale Land Dispute
CONSTITUTION OF PANEL TO LOOK INTO THE CRISIS OCCASIONED BY THE LAND DISPUTE BETWEEN ARAROMI OBU AND IKALE(AGO ALAYE)
Following the eruption of the violent clash between the people of Araromi Obu and Ikale(Ago-Alaye) which resulted in loss of lives and wanton destruction of properties over land dispute, the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN has constituted a five member Panel of Inquiry.
The members are as follows:
Tunde Atere, Esq. Chairman
Pastor Olaitan Adigun. Member
Pharm. Funmilayo Osundolire. Member
Mr. Seinde Omokoba. Member
Tunbosun Aganun. Member
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture,, Alhaji Boluwaduro Kunle Sanni will serve as Secretary of the Panel.
The Terms of Reference of the Panel include the following:
To look into the remote and immediate causes of the land dispute between the people of Araromi Obu and Ikale (Ago Alaye) which occurred on Tuesday, 16th July, 2019
To determine the extent of damage done to private and public properties.
To recommend to the State Government, appropriate ways of settling the dispute and;
To make such other recommendations which the Panel may find necessary.
The Panel which will be inaugurated by Mr. Governor on Monday 5th August , 2019, has three weeks to submit its report.
