The Ondo State Governor, Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, on Tuesday, solicited the cooperation of people of Ondo city towards the success of his administration.

Akeredolu made this known while paying a courtesy visit to Oba Victor Kiladejo, the Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom.

He said the people of Ondo State had good reason to be proud of his predecessor in office, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, due to his monumental achievements.

“One of the great achievements of Mimiko is the medical village in Ondo town, and it is one of the best in Nigeria,”

“Government is a continuum, and we will continue where he stopped. We also need your support to achieve the best dividends of democracy,” he said.

Akeredolu also promised to look into the issue of land grabbers with a view to resolving the problem.

He explained that he would constitute a team of lawyers to interface with the people and advice Government properly so that land owners were not dispossessed of their landed property.

Earlier, Oba Victor Kiladejo, the Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom, described Akeredolu as a man of his words.

“He is a very good man who has started very well and by the grace of God, he will continue to do very well and be stronger than he started.

“We have a problem in Ondo with land grabbers who are constantly disturbing us and we want to plead with you to help us resolve the issue as soon as possible,” he said.
