The Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu has said he would unearth hidden treasures in the southern part of the state

Akeredolu said this at the inauguration of board of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas (OSOPADEC) in Akure on Monday.

He said his administration was resolute on addressing the challenges facing the people of the area.

Akeredolu said his administration had initiated programmes aimed at fostering comprehensive development in the area.

He advised the people of the area to cooperate with the new chairman to bring ‘change’ to the area.

Later, Olugbenga Edema,new chairman of OSOPADEC, while speaking on behalf of members of the board, pledged the readiness of the board to complement the efforts of the state government at developing the state.

Edema in an interview with newsmen, said that the oil producing area had been neglected interns of provision of basic amenities in the past and promised to bring back life to the region.

“Like you heard the governor say, listing the mandate of OSOPADEC, provision of basic amenities, we will do the immediate evaluation of the area.

“We will do orientation and reorientation for our people, if you can not go to school,learn skill,” he said.
