A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress(APC) in Ondo State, Otunba Dele Ologun has stated that youth development will take the centre stage of the incoming administration of Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu come February 24 when he take over the mantle of leadership of the state.
He gave the assurance recently in Akure when the Chronicle News Magazine honoured him with Ondo State Youth Ambassador Award. The award lecture was delivered by Mr Lade Fasua tagged “Economic Recession; Causes, Implications and Antidotes”
Ologun who was the Youth Deputy Director of Akeredolu Campaign Platform in the last governorship election in Ondo State asked the youths to be focused and embraced hardwork as Mr Akeredolu is determine to formulate policies and programmes that will be youth oriented.
He further assured the youth of better days ahead far from the 8years of the outgoing government of Dr Mimiko who did little to raised the tempo and developed the youth.
In his words, “the APC led government under Arakunrin Akeredolu will create an enabled environment for the youth of Ondo State to thrive and also believe the new administration will look into the aspect of empowerment programmes and appointment of qualified youths in sensitive positions” ,he stated.
“The governor elect in Ondo state has promised to promote and key into the vision of youth development as no nation can grow without developing it youthful populations. Arakunrin Akeredolu will not renege in all his electioneering promises despite the harsh economic recession in the country”.
Ologun stressed the need to rally round and give maximum support to the incoming government in other to bring dividend of democracy to the door step of everyone. Meanwhile, Otunba Ologun has said the award from Chronicle Magazine will further spur him to continue to contribute to the development ot the youths, mankind,needy and less privileged in the society.
