Akeredolu lauds Ikale, Ilaje, Apoi in Diaspora for developmental mission in Ondo State

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has called on Ondo State indigenes in the diaspora to emulate the Ikale, Ilaje and Apoi Progressive Union (IIAPU), based in Dallas, Texas, United States of America (USA) for coming home to contribute their quota to the development of the State.
The Governor made the call during the presentation of benches and lockers to two schools in Igbokoda on Monday, June 24, 2019. by the America based Organization.
Akeredolu who was represented by the Education Secretary, Ilaje Local Government Area Hon. Goke Jatuwase observed that no contribution is too small interm of development appreciated the union, adding that whatever any other group either at home or in abroad has to offer will be highly appreciated.

Governor Akeredolu lauded the union for the kind gesture which he said will go a long way at making learning very conducive, thereby asking the members of the organisation not to relent in their efforts.
The governor also called on the management of the schools to ensure that the pupils make judicious use of the learning materials and see it as their personal property so as to protect it from being damaged.

Earlier in his speech, the president Prince Babajide Iyaomolere affirmed that no amount of what they do to the various schools and communities is too much as they have determined to continue to make life more meaningful in their own little way thereby urging the beneficiaries to eschew whatever that can disrupt their academic pursuit.
Enumerating the achievements of the organization Prince Iyaomolere said they have donated wheelchairs and other medical equipments in Okitipupa and Ese Odo local governments and now giving furniture materials to schools in Ilaje local government.
“We are not going to relent as other communities will in no distance time benefit in the same spirit”
He urged the people of the district to continue to pray for the union as they have more goodies for the development of the area.

The Headteacher, Surulere Community Primary School, Omonira Street, Igbokoda, Mrs. Alice Ajimuda who could not hide her joy as she sings and dances amidst the pupils poured encomiums on members of the IIAPU and pray for abundant blessings in return.

The senior prefect boy of the school, Master Otone Oriade in his appreciation prayed for the donors, saying that their children will never lack good things of life.
Ilaje Grammar School, Igbokoda also benefited from the gesture as twenty-five set of similar furniture’s was presented to the citadel of learning.
The principal, Pastor Jephter Mogbojuri said that he was aware of the laudable projects the group has been doing across the four focused local government areas in the State.

According to the principal “The president of the union, Prince Babajide Iyaomolere by providence came in contact with one of our students (indigent), Michael Omojowo and took it upon himself to pay his school fees from JSSI to SS III,”.
He added that the students, the community and the state government will continue to appreciate their efforts at ensuring that they give back to the society that made them .
Mogbojuri urged them to go ahead in their philanthropic activities as heaven will reward them in million folds.
“We thank you very much. We pray God to uphold you and keep strengthening you”.
The senior prefect boy of Ilaje High School, Igbokoda, Michael Omojowo prayed for the donors and urged other well to do people in the society to emulate them.

Ikale, Ilaje and Apoi Progressives Union (IIAPU) was established by the indigenes of the above communities who are now living in United States of America (USA) to offer their skills, abilities, and energies to help their own brothers and sisters in the local governments of Ondo State, Nigeria an focuses on the economic, educational, cultural, technological, and scientific progress of every locality through charitable programmes.
