Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN has felicitated and identified with Muslims across Nigeria on the celebration of this year’s Ramadan.
The Governor’s facilitation message is contained in a statement issued on Thursday in Akure the State Capital by his Chief Press Secretary, Segun Ajiboye.
The Governor expressed hope and delight that the celebration would bring spiritual growth and well-being to all Muslims. The statement reads in part
” Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN felicitates with the Muslim community across the country on the grace bestowed on them by the Almighty Allah to participate in this year’s Ramadan.
“Akeredolu is delighted to inform the Muslim community that the annual spiritual exercise, which is one of the five pillars of Islam, will contribute the more to their spiritual wellbeing.
“According to the Governor, the Ramadan fasting period, being a season of discipline and sacrifice, will give the Muslims another opportunity to reflect on the essence of living a Holy life.
“He, therefore, urges them to imbibe the lessons learnt from the one-month spiritual exercise.”
