Akeredolu excited as foreign investors storm Ondo state
The desire and commitment of the present administration in Ondo State led by Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, to open up the state and transform the state’s economy from civil servants driven to an industrial hub of the Southwest may have been yielding results gradually.
Today, the Association of Foreign Investors led by its President, Chief Peters Osadebay and the Honorary Consular Turkish Embassy, Mr Umer Currebal visited the state.
Chief Peter Osadebay while speaking on behalf of the Association remarked that Ondo State can have up to five hundred industries. He praised the governor for the steps taken so far in his bid to attract foreign investors.
The governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to making the state investors friendly.
“We are prepared to make this state investors friendly. No other way to develop except to be investors friendly.
“We will do everything we can to to make Ondo State investors’ destination.
“We’re ready to work with people who may want to build five star hotel. We will give you land.
“The resources is not concentrated in one zone. Our resources are scattered across the state – North, South and Central Senatorial districts of the state,” the governor said.
The governor went further to disclose that the state has just passed a law for the establishment of ” Ondo State Development And Investment Promotion Agency”, (ONDIPA) which he described as a one stop shop for investors.
