Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has commiserated with the family of the immediate past Deputy governor of the state, Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo over the gruesome murder of their daughter, Miss Khadijat Oluboyo.

Khadijat, a final year student of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-Akoko was allegedly killed and buried for days in a room at Oke- Aro area in Akure, the state capital by her former boyfriend.

Akeredolu, who spoke through his Deputy, Hon. Agboola Ajayi, while paying a condolence visit to Oluboyo at his residence in Akure described the incident as a big blow to the bereaved family.

The governor, who was accompanied by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde and the State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Yemi Olowolabi, said the state shares in their grief.

He urged the bereaved family as believers of Allah to submit to the will of God who gives and takes life.

Akeredolu prayed that Allah will comfort the family over the loss and spread his wing of protection over all others she left behind.

However, the governor lauded the security operatives for being proactive in apprehending the suspect allegedly behind the death of Khadijat.

He assured that the suspect would face the wrath of the law if at the end he is found guilty.

Oluboyo who described her daughter’s death as devastating, thanked Akeredolu for showing the family strong support and care despite their different political affiliation.

But the former Deputy governor said due to his religion, he would not seek vengeance against his daughter’s alleged killer in the law court.
