Ondo State Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN has commended the efforts of the State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) geared towards transforming the mandate areas of the commission and improving the welfare of the people of the area.
Akeredolu gave the commendation on Wednesday during an inspection visit to developmental projects executed by OSOPADEC in the mandate areas of Ilaje/Ese-odo.
The Governor was accompanied on the visit by the Deputy Governor,Hon. Agboola Ajayi, Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Olugbenga Ale, members of the State Executive Council, Chairman of OSOPADEC, Hon. Olugbenga Edema and other top government functionaries.
The projects visited include repair of failed Talita bridge at Aboto, the male and female students hostel at the Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH), Okitipupa, OSUSTECH internal roads 1,2 and 2b and the replacement of asphalt laying with reinforced concrete slab (rigid pavement)along Okitipupa- Ayeka- Irele road.
Others are the construction of 6.5kilometres Ipoke- Ojuala road and the construction of 5.8km Oloto- Igboegunrin road with additional 250 metres.
