A Letter To The Governor Of My State Of Origin By Otunba Oluseyi Aba
Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, please don’t create an educational sector that will meet global competitiveness, rather create one that will give our people a sound and lifelong education. My able Governor, I like your style so far. It seems to me that you are methodical and meticulous. May God continue to help you. I read somewhere that you want to review the educational sector of our sunshine state with the view to make the sector to meet global competitiveness. Very good and wordy as that may sound, it could be the last straw that will break the back of the system in Ondo State. All we need in the sector sir, is a simple, lifelong educational system. A system that will guarantee life skills. A system that emphasize innovation A system that teaches moral values A system that ensures a secondary school lever is molded robustly to face life situations as it were in your own era. A system that makes quality education free and compulsory up to secondary school level A system that focus less on academics but more on vocations A system that promotes entrepreneurship. A system that encourages research. Global competitiveness will be added on to it, sir. So help you God. Yours.
