The Paramount Ruler and Prescribed Authority, Olowa of Igbara-Oke Kingdom, Oba Dr. Francis Adefarakanmi Agbede, on Friday installed five traditional chiefs to fill the vacant traditional Chieftaincy titles of Osinio Amomori, Asao, Obarinmadin, Ayalodi Odo-Igbara, and Ayalodi Omo-Owa in Igbara-Oke.
The monarch in his address charged the new traditional chiefs to see to the continued development, progress and peaceful coexistence of Igbara-Oke kingdom. He said they should see their Chieftaincy positions as a call to duty by working for the good cause of Igbara-Oke and her citizens. According to him, they should see themselves as an ambassador of Igbara-Oke kingdom.
Oba Agbede also assured the chiefs of his support and contributions toward achieving greater success in their respective positions. He urged them to use their resources and vast experience to help promote the culture and tradition of Igbara-Oke and her people.
While charging them to be loyal and dedicated towards peaceful co existence of all and sundry, he said, they should not allow their present status to override the overall interest of the people. He enjoined them to put God first in the discharge of their responsibilities to mankind since God is the owner of the Universe knowing fully well that no one can attain any position in life without the support of God Almighty.
The beneficiaries of these Chieftaincy titles are the Chairman of Nigeria Legion in Ifedore Local Government, Chief Peter Akinlolu Ojo who was installed as Osinio Amomori, Chief Isaac Dare Kayode- as Ayalodi of Odo-Igbara, Chief Oluwagbenga Adepetu- as Obarinmadin, Chief Gabriel Olu Dada- as Asao and Chief Bode Adeyemi as Ayalodi Omo-Owa.
Speaking on behalf of the newly installed chiefs, the new Osinio Amomori, Chief Akinolu Ojo, expressed his appreciation to His Royal Majesty and the entire Council of Chiefs for the privilege given them to step into the shoes of their respective forefathers. Also, their families to have nominated them and all the supports they have received thus far. He said these Chieftaincy titles is a call for service towards rebuilding and repositioning Igbara-Oke kingdom to a new height.
Chief Akinlolu Ojo also commended the efforts of Olowa and Paramount Ruler of Igbara-Oke kingdom, HRM, Oba Dr. Francis Adefarakanmi Agbede in the areas of prompting the cultural heritage of Igbara-Oke kingdom and the entire Yoruba nation. He assured the palace and the entire Council of Chief of their total cooperation and absolute loyalty in the discharge of their duties as traditional chiefs in Igbara-Oke.
