As parts of efforts to bring development to Igbara-Oke, the Olowa of Igbara-Oke kingdom, HRM, Oba Dr. Francis Adefarakanmi Agbede, and the Council of Chiefs, received into the palace, team of investors who arrived Igbara-Oke with the desire to build Hospital of Excellence and Ultramodern Agricultural Settlements. The team from Legacy Initiative International and Nigeria-Vietnam Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
The leader of the team, who is the Grand Patron of Legacy Initiative International, Chief Dr. Kenny Martins, said the team is prepared to establish Hospital of Excellence and Agricultural Processing Settlements in Igbara-Oke. He said their visit came as a result of their desire to build these two projects in a peaceful environment, and seeing the serenity of Igbara-Oke, they are convinced to have arrived at the right place.
According to him, the hospital will serve many purposes for the citizens of the country and the need to travel abroad for medical treatment will be minimised. “It will be a world class hospital that will handle most cases many people traveled abroad for”. He said the organisation has approached President Muhammadu Buhari for waivers on the equipment they will bring into the country for these projects.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Onigemo of Igbara-Oke kingdom, High Chief Sunday Aiyegbo said Igbara-Oke is a town that is opened for development of many kinds that is of human benefits. He said the town is relatively peaceful, and has 13 Satellite towns that are viable socially and economically. Chief Aiyegbo also reiterate the participation of Oba Agbede at the United Nation’s Agricultural Summit in July, 2018 and efforts of Igbara-Oke sons and daughters towards supports given to investors that has partnered Igbara-Oke in diverse areas.
In the same vein, the Publicity Secretary of Igbara-Oke Council of Chiefs, High Chief Lade Ogunsakin welcomed the team on behalf of the Council of Chiefs and assured them of necessary supports towards the actualization of these projects.
Also, the President of Nigeria-Vietnam Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Oye Akinsemoyin, said their plan is to make Igbara-Oke the Food Basket of Ondo State, with the introduction of new approach in Agriculture. He said Vietnam is the largest buyer of Nigeria cashew, and the country is ready to work with Igbara-Oke. “I have also pledged my support for this project with the mandate to work with Igbara-Oke in this Agricultural revolution”, says Akinsemoyin.
In his response, the Olowa of Igbara-Oke kingdom, HRM, Oba Dr. Francis Adefarakanmi Agbede, who expressed his joy towards these projects, said the town is prepared and fully ready to provide the landed properties for these projects. He said the major trade of the people of the town is agriculture, and he see this as another opportunity that must not pass the town by.
He therefore urged the people of Igbara-Oke to see this as another kind to development to be embraced, which will put Igbara-Oke on the global map in the areas of Health care delivery and Agriculture. He also assured the team of maximum support and cooperation,
