The Ondo State Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has assured that by the time Bitumen Exploration Factory in Ondo State begins operations later this year, Nigeria would stop the importation of Bitumen products for the construction of roads across the country.
Governor Akeredolu said the development would be a major breakthrough for the entire country as it would hasten the construction process of roads.
Receiving the leadership of Section on Legal Practice, SLP, of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, in his office in Akure, Governor Akeredolu said Ondo State is naturally endowed with diverse mineral resources waiting to be tapped for the economic development of the Sunshine State.
Arakunrin Akeredolu categorically stated that his administration was irrevocably committed at breaking the jinx of exploring the second largest bitumen deposit in the state and ensure it becomes a reality before the end of the year.
While wishing his colleagues in the legal profession a successful Annual Conference in the state, the governor urged them to take advantage of the avanlanche of tourist sites in the state for their holidays as the sites have greater excitements than similar sites elsewhere around the globe.
Earlier the leader of the team who is the Chairman on Legal Practice of NBA, Mrs Mai Essein, SAN, had lauded the governor for being a worthy ambassador of the Bar.
The Chairman particularly expressed happiness that the governor was delivering on his promises to his people through several projects being executed by his administration.
She informed the governor that Lawyers who are members of the Section on Legal Practice were in the state for their Annual Conference between 7th and 8th, 2019 adding that the theme of the conference would be : Value Added Legal Practice.
