Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has commended members of his cabinet for their dedication to service with a charge to remain focused in the service of their fatherland.
Speaking at the first meeting of the State Executive Council in Year 2019 at the exco Chambers of the Governor’s Office , Governor Akeredolu noted, with satisfaction, the commitments of members of the council to duties, saying they have held forth effectively in their respective offices for the development of the state and the corporate image of the present administration as a performing one.
Arakunrin Akeredolu, however, charged the Commissioners and Special Advisers to work assiduously this year in view of some major activities that will take place within the first quarter of the year.
The expected developments, according to the governor, include electioneering processes and the two years anniversary of the present administration, which he said would be a milestone in the development history of the state in view of the several monumental achievements of his government and the projections in the works for the people.
He advised them to show leadership with a difference by working with the people in their areas for the actualisation of the Change Mantra of the All Progressives Congress, being the platform on which they all came to power.
Arakunrin Akeredolu, who used the opportunity to once again salute the cordiality between his administration and civil servants in the state, said it has been a harmonious working relationship for the advancement of the Sunshine State.
He urged the workforce not to relent as the reward for hardwork is more work for better living standard for every worker and prosperity for the state with its residents.
Governor Akeredolu also appreciated the people of the state for their understanding and support for his administration at all time.
While promising to continue to deliver life transforming projects for the wellbeing of the people of the state, Arakunrin Akeredolu said inspite of the recent security challenges in some parts of the state which were quickly nipped in the bud, Ondo State has remained the most peaceful state in Nigeria and as such nothing would be spared to ensure that lives and property remain secured the state.
On already delivered projects across the state, he urged the Exco members to showcase the projects to the people and make them take ownership of the projects for their use and comfort.
