Former member of the house of representative from Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency, and the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the forth coming 2019 house of Representatives Election, Hon. Albert Akintoye , popularly known as S.OT, has written his immediate constituency to give account of his stewardship by listing his achievements during his tenure as member of the house between 2011-2015 as a way of setting the record straight due to the rumours making the round that he did not perform as former representative of the constituency.
In a letter he personally signed and made available to Starnews in Akure, the Ondo State Capital, Akintoye said that the need for him to write his constituency and roll out his achievements for the people is to set the record straight and inform the people of his performance for record purposes.
The list includes:

– I personally sent 4 students to Malaysia and paid their fees and welfare package for four years (3 doing first degree and 1 masters) before the end of my tenure in office, 2 from Irele and 2 from Okitipupa LGA
— Getting Employment for 30 constituents in Naval, Police, Civil Defence, and Nigerian custom.

— Motion for the construction of a fly over bridge in Ore town, Ondo State
— Motion for the enhancement of the fundamental human rights in Nigeria.
— Four other motions were also moved with one bill sponsored according to Akintoye.
“So, I am surprised many people are not informed about my performance. Though it is my fault because I did not do the publications of all my achievements. Had it been I did, the records would have been set and the doubts would have been cleared.
“That’s why I decided to write this letter to my peoples in Okitipupa and Irele local governments to give account of my stewardship. People should read and judge themselves between capital intensive projects and cosmetics.
“More than 10 people traveled outside Nigeria through me to look for better life apart from the Amnesty scholarships I lobbied for 50 peoples to study home and abroad.
“I’m a grassroot person who knows where the shoe pinches and I am well educated. Even in the house, I was well known. I was the one who fought to effect changes to many unfavourable house rules against first timer.
“During my tenure, I brought 25 lawmakers from Abuja led by the speaker himself to my constituency to carry out some oversight functions. I can assure my people that I will perform more than I have done in the past if I am voted in 2019.
“As an experienced Lawmaker, if given the second chance through this coming general election,” I will surpass my initial achievements, and with the few list of my achievements enumerated above, I hope my people will appreciate it and I promise to do more.” Akintoye said.
