An aide to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has charged the graduating students of Greater Tomorrow International College, Arigidi Akoko, Ondo state to uphold the values of diligence which will enable them excel in the next phase of their life.
The aide to the Governor, Olabanji Adewumi who is the special assistant on youth and students affairs gave the advice during the valedictory service and prize giving day of the college held over the weekend at the school compound.
“Run after and hold on to the values of life but above all hold on to God for there is a limit to what man can do but God can do all things.”
The SA on Youth and students affairs assured that the government will partner with the school to further ensure quality educational growth within the State.
“The government will not joke with matters that involve the youths and students. We will also look for how to partner with you in the area of sports development, especially basketball,” he said.
Speaking earlier, the principal and the CEO of the college, Chief James Lawal applauded the consistency of the college while highlighting the successes achieved by the school for the 2017/2018 academic session
Some of these include the 2017 national champion in the letter writing competition organised by the Universal Postal Union (UPU) and the 2018 national champion in the physics competition organised by the National Institute of Physics Teachers (NIP).
Out of the 123 students who sat the 2018 May/June WASSCE, 122 passed with the school having one of the best results in the country.
Cash awards and torhpies where presented to the outstanding graduating students.
