Non-indingenes in Ondo State have hailed Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN over the appointment of three of their own as Special Assistants on Igbo, Hausa and Ebira.
The group lauded Governor Akeredolu for giving them recognition in the state, describing the Governor as a detribalized Nigerian to the core.
The governor had on last Friday approved the Appointment of Arinze Okafor as Special Assistant, Igbo, Kareem Moshood, Special Assistant, Ebira and Bala Umar as special Assistant, Hausa.
The new appointees who stormed the party secretariat along Oyemekun road with leaders and members of the Non indegenes group, promised to continue to work for the progress of the APC and the Akeredolu led administration.
The members of the group, who filled the expansive hall of the party secretariat to the brim declared that Governor Akeredolu will always get massive support from them.
Spokesperson of the group, Alex Uka said they would have gone to the governor’s office to show their appreciation but for the busy schedules of the governor which they didn’t want to disturb.
He said “We have come to the party secretariat, so that, the party Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin can help us convey our appreciation to our kind hearted Governor
“Our people are so happy, we continue to be appreciative of what Mr. Governor has done for the non – indegenes in the state
“We want to thank the Governor again, for his dedication to reward loyalty and hardwork, this is just the beginning, we will work even harder in future elections
“We have come to the party secretariat because of the busy schedules of the governor, we want the party Chairman to help us convey our heartfelt appreciation to the governor, we are so happy.”
The group said it has also directed its members who are yet to register or collect their PVC to do so in earnest.
It said it will continue to mobilize for the APC, adding that they are proud of Governor Akeredolu’s performance in the last one year in Office.
Responding, the party Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin assured the people of more succor, urging them to keep supporting the Akeredolu led administration.
He urged them to be united and do away with acrimony amongst themselves.
Adetimehin who disclosed that Akeredolu has recorded good image for the party in just one year, asked the new appointees to see their new assignment as service for the state.
The Special assistant on Igbo matters, Okafor asked the people to get ready for more grassroot mobilization.
