The families of Aluko and Jolaosho were United in joy and excitement as both gave their consent to the tying of the nuptial knot between their children, Abimbola Oluwatosin Aluko and Abisoye Olatunde Jolaosho.
The wedding ceremony, a very solemn affair, held at Ibadan over the weekend and it attracted dignitaries from far and near. The event started Saturday morning with the engagement ceremony which held at the main bowl of the Lawn Tennis court, Liberty Stadium, Adamasingba Ibadan.
The couple decked in a brown and pink coloured native attire were ushered into the venue of the engagement with dance and lyrics as elders of both families took their turn to pray for them and offered them counsel.
The wedding programme anchored by the priests of Save and Serve Church of Christ followed immediately after the engagement. In her sermon, Pastor. mrs. Orire congratulated the new couple and also saluted the steadfastness of the bride’s mother, Mrs. Funke Aluko, whom she described as a foundation member of the church. Mrs. Orire advised Abimbola and Abisoye to see each other from now on as a single, United and indissoluble entity, whose marriage God himself has ordained. She told the couple that God is the author of marriage, therefore they should make God and not man their companion. The cleric also noted that the major albatross to the institution of marriage is the lack of trust between husband and wife, stressing that the new couple should trust each other completely, the same way the church trusts the Lord.
Bishop Jide Orire arrived on time to share the grace and to sizzle up the atmosphere with prophetic offering, after the couple had signed the dotted lines.
Abimbola Oluwatosin, now Mrs. Jolaosho on the sideline of the event told OndoEvents that she thanked the Lord for the success of the wedding ceremony. She said her husband is a cool, affectionate young man, a good Christian and an interesting person to be with. The groom, Abisoye Jolaosho said his wife is a quiet, intelligent and God fearing woman, as well as a divine answer to his earnest prayer to God for a good choice of a wife.
