Wife of the Ondo State governor and founder of Maternal Pulse Foundation, Mrs. Olukemi Mimiko hosted students in the state primary and secondary schools in a yearly competition organised for schoolchildren by First Lady’s Maternal Pulse Foundation on Saturday.
Speaking at the event, Mrs. Mimiko charged parents to watch over their children and stay connected with them, she also admonished schools in Ondo State to keep promoting Agriculture.
The event which took place at the International Cultural and Event Centre (The Dome), Akure had in attendance dignitaries from all over the State with the likes of Olugbo of Ugbo Land Oba Obateru Akinruntan, the State Commissioner for Youths Development and Sports Hon. Dayo Awude, members of the State House of Assembly, Local Government Chairmen with representative from different schools across the State.
At the end of the competition, All Saints Caring Heart Nursery/Primary School and Fiwasaye Girls’ College emerged winners of the primary school and secondary school category respectively, and winners’ awards were presented to representatives of the winning schools by Her Excellency, Mrs Olukemi Mimiko
