Pastor Larry Ogunmusire, a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chairmanship candidate for Okitipupa at the April 23 Local Government (LG) elections across Ondo State has promised to develop the LG with the abundant natural and human resources if voted.
Ogunmusire in an interview with the OndoEvents on Tuesday in Okitipupa said that there are abundant natural and human resources enough to develop the LG.
He said that natural resources was the vast fertile land which can be used for agriculture and the large chunk of youths are the human resources who would work on the farmland to generate revenue for the LG.
“Nigeria is in a state of economic meltdown and needed to diversify into agriculture, if this started from the LG’s then the country’s economy will improve.”
“Okitipupa have the capacity of producing yams, cassava, plantain especially palm oil that can serve the entire nation, this is my vision to develop the LGA if voted as the chairman.”
He promised to empower farmers, youths and aged ones with micro credits facilities for them to generate more income that would be beneficial to the LG.
He also said that he would constructs roads for farmers and motorists to have access to good road network across the LG especially for farmers to be able to bring their farm produce to the town.
He said that Gov. Olusegun Mimiko has performed wonderfully well in developing the state, urging the electorate to come out in large numbers and vote the PDP for them to continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy.
