The Ooni of Ife His Imperial Majesty Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi (Ojaja II)  paid  historic visit to the Deji and paramount Ruler of Akure Kingdom, HRM, Oba ogunlade Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi (Odundun II) at his palace. The Ooni who arrived in a motor cade and carnival-like was received by the Deji and his High Chiefs at about 6:25pm. The visit was characterized by fun fare as the people were eager to meet the AROLE OODUA. The Ooni who described his visit as a home coming expressed joy at the manner in which he was received by the Deji and her people. I have a feeling in my heart when I entered the palace and I can confirm to you that joy, love and peace has come to stay in Akure, He said. The Ooni who attributed his ascension to the throne to the will of the Almighty God affirm that he owes everything to the King of Kings who can enthrone and also dethrone. The AROLE ODUA whose message centered on the need for unity among the Yoruba nation equally praised the Deji of Akure for his love for her people and his outstanding qualities, virtues and performance within the short time he ascended the throne. Oba Aladetoyinbo while responding was full of praise for the visit by the Ooni. He hailed him for the wisdom with which he has been unifying the Yoruba nation through his visit to the prominent Obas in Yoruba land. The Deji promise to cooperate with the Ooni in his quest to bring all the Yoruba race together to occupy her place of pride. The visit was witnessed by all the High Chiefs led by the Olisa, High Chief (Engr) James Olusoga and other prominent sons and daughters of Akure; Chief Reuben Fasoranti (OFR), Chief Oluyemisi Falae (CFR), Mr. Eyitayo Jegede (SAN) Attorney General & Comm. For justice, Arch. Jide Adejuyigbe (Comm for Education), Hon. Dayo Awude (Comm for Youth & Sports), Hon.Ademola Adegoroye,Hon. Adedayo Omolafe (Chairman OSPDC), Hon. Bayo Alarapon, Prof. Olu Aboluwoye, Sheik Akeem Akorede (Chief Imam, Akure) among others.
